Our Story

It all started in 1999…

Business owners Tim and Debbie Lindsay began their respective careers in construction and graphic design. After building their own home in the early 90’s they noticed an unmet consumer need- prefinished millwork.  The business started out in a garage in their home in Effingham, IL.  After developing a relationship with local contractors and perfecting the art of their trade, the business started to grow. Time and again the small business outgrew its walls and several additions were made to the original building at their home. When it was time to take their business to the next level, they began looking for a new location to house their thriving business. The couple settled on Dieterich, IL. This location has allowed the business to continue its growth by adding the capability of receipt and storage of large orders from millwork manufacturers and suppliers.  In 2021 the Lindsay’s Prefinishing team transitioned to a new owner, Aroyn Borries, to help meet the needs of the business and move the business forward for future years.

Owner’s Philosophy

Our philosophy on operating this business stems directly from the company’s origins. We only believe in offering value-added services shaped from our own frustrations with the finishing process 30 years ago. We truly believe that prefinishing is the most economical way to achieve a superior millwork finish. Our stance is genuine, and we are only interested in helping you solve the problems that make your life better.
